It's a song about Trixie, taking place after she leaves Ponyville in shame. She has travelled from town to town, but is always rejected and scoffed at by the residents. The whole world sees her as a hoax... She's feeling lonely, and wishes she could go back to Ponyville and start over. She wishes that everyone could forgive and forget. After all, everypony needs second chances.

I got emotional writing this, it's sad. :(
